Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how the Premium Sound browser extension (“the Extension”) handles information. By installing or using the Extension, you agree to this policy.
1. Summary
Premium Sound does not collect, sell, rent, or transmit your personal data to our servers. Audio is processed locally in your browser. We do not operate a backend that receives your music streams or browsing content.
2. Data stored on your device
The Extension may store the following using Chrome’s storage APIs:
- Engage on/off state
- Selected preset (e.g. Subtle, Sig, Punch) and custom slider values
- Related preference flags needed for the Extension to work
These settings stay on your device. If you use Chrome Sync, Chrome may sync them across your signed-in browsers according to Google’s privacy policy. We do not receive a copy of that sync data.
3. Site access
The Extension runs only on SoundCloud, YouTube, and YouTube Music pages to apply optional Web Audio processing and to show a local signal meter in the popup. It does not read your passwords, payment details, or email contents.
4. Network requests
The Extension does not send analytics events, advertising identifiers, or audio/media streams to us. The popup may load fonts from Google Fonts when opened; that request is handled by Google under their own terms.
5. Children’s privacy
The Extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
7. Contact
Questions about this policy: contact the developer via the Chrome Web Store support email listed on the Premium Sound extension page, or open an issue on the project repository.
